The blue hand is for midi devices that Abelton Live recognises as control surfaces, auto assigning controllers, I believe. Windows Media Center Edition is not currently supported. When i contacted Maudio about this, they responded with Hey guys, I am thinking about purchasing the almost out of date UC33 from a local dealer.
I have sent several requests to Apple to change this. Ask a question Reset. It works fine although Live likes to call it a UC33e, assigning the dreaded blue hand to it no matter what I do to try to disable that. Ive delved into environement on PC version years ago, yeah its daunting at first, my music teacher warned me against it!!
