Why I was not previously able to figure out that ‘tacho output pin’ has something to do with the tach is beyond tsch. There are also a few “special” systems in use from the eighties that combine a sensor input with an ignition driver output in one module.
For fuel-only installs it is possible to obtain a tach in mgasquirt from the negative terminal of a single coil.
I didn’t know there such hint as a I do not have my laptop with my, but I think ‘X2’ is the fans which is another storyand I think the rest may be unused.

Buffon needs to jump his diagnostics box as he’s confirmed 4 fours wires in his coil connectors. Mine is set to OFF. You saved me a lot of time and trouble doing the assembly, I still got to do a little hands-on for the build, and all is kosher.
Find More Posts by Joe Perez. It is important to be aware that while Ford EDIS and GM DIS both have special toothed wheels, the module handles all the decoding and presents a signal to the Megasquirt that looks like a distributor input.
Possible aftermarket arrangement for a hall sensor with flying magnets in trigger wheel. I recently purchased a standalone MS setup from Braineack. I also had to solder the MAP sensor to the main circuit board when I discovered that it had been overlooked.

There are many different options for tach input and this is probably one of the largest areas of difficulty with any aftermarket EFI install. When you say “4 wires go into ignitor” does this mean that each of the two ignition coils has four wires going into it? The Megasquirt needs to be configured for VR input with atch pullup.
